Stefanos Hatzilazarou

Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1967. He is a B.Sc. graduate in Agriculture from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and holder of a Doctorate Degree from the same University specialized in Floriculture. He has successfully completed an annual program of pedagogical training in the School of Paidagogical and Technological Education. He has received two scholarships during his undergraduate and postgraduate studies for his performance, as well as a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) for postdoctoral research. Since 1998, he has worked in the Laboratory of Floriculture at the Department of Horticulture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as a Teaching Staff, and since 2018 serves as Assistant Professor at the same Laboratory. He was Visiting Professor at the School of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Thessaly and at the Department of Agricultural Development of the Democritus University of Thrace. He also has taught as a lecturer for a number of years in the Alexander Technological Institute of Thessaloniki, the Professional Training Institute of Veria - Greece and in various Vocational Training Centers on subjects concerning floriculture. His research is focused on floriculture publishing over 60 papers in scientific journals and in proceedings of international and national conferences. He has participated in six research projects, three of which as team leader and in one as coordinator. He is a member of the Hellenic and the International Society for Horticultural Science.
