Olga-Maria Bakirtzi

Dr. Olga Ch. Bakirtzis works in the Greek Archaeological Service. She studied Horticulture at the School of Agriculture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki where she also received her PhD in 2007. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree (MLA), from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, U.Κ. Her research interests focus on landscape interventions in historic environments, especially the management of vegetation in archaeological sites. Her publications include: The management of vegetation at archaeological sites and monuments in Greece. Horticulture and Landscape Architecture (Echedoros publications, 2014) and with Professor of Landscape Architecture in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki I.A. Tsalikidis, Landscapes and Gardens of People. Landscape architecture from antiquity to the 21st. century (Epikentro publications, 2014).
