Athina Pavlatou-Ve

Athena Pavlatou-Ve, born in Patra at 1953, is Emeritus Professor of the School of Agriculture, Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and the Natural Environment of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She has extended teaching experience in undergraduate courses of Soil Science, Soil Microbiology, Soil Chemisty and postgraduate courses such as Relationship of Plant and Soil Environment, Soil Science specialization, Advanced soil chemistry, Soil science specialization,  Microbiology and Biochemistry of Soil Environment and Soil Science specialization.
Organizing and directing of research-type diplomatic essays (30 diplomatic essays), member of tripartite committees for the postgraduate school (8), organizing and directing of research-typed postgraduate Thesis (11), member of the tripartite counseling committees for doctoral studies (5), member of seven-part examination committees for doctoral Thesis of the Department of Agriculture of the AUTH (2) and the Veterinary Department of the AUTH and supervising two (2) doctoral Thesis.
Research mainly focusing on the theoretical study on soil phosphorus physio-chemistry related issues (Chemical kinetic adsorption - desorption, adsorption isotherms), the study of soil Boron on saline soils improvement, soil microbiology, soil organic matter management, the study of impact of heavy metals on the chemical and physical properties of soils and of algae in rice fields for production organic matter.
Publications:  6 teaching notes, 20 publications in peer referred journals, 10 publications in peer referred conference, 5 publications in Hellenic conference (abstract) (reviewers), 2 chapters in foreign books, 5 chapters in Greek books and 5 chapters in Greek journals (reviewers).
