Eypraxia-Aithra Maria

Efpraxia-Aithra MARIA is Associate Professor of Environmental Law in the School of Environmental Engineering, Technical University of Crete, Chania, Greece and Attorney at Law at the Hellenic Supreme Court and the Council of State, specialized in public and environmental law.

She has published several books and articles on environmental law. She participates as researcher in EU and national funded environmental and interdisciplinary research projects.

Her main fields of research are: protection of forests, landscape protection, Renewable Energy Sources, smart metering, energy saving and green leasing legal issues, biodiversity and agro-biodiversity protection (genetic resources, fauna and flora, landscape protection, ex situ conservation, Gene Banks & Seed Banks, Botanical Gardens), environmental and landscape governance.
